Cardio-addict Amy has seen the light. From fat loss, longer, leaner muscles and increased cardiovascular fitness, she wants to continue to add swimming to her training repertoire as the challenge is complete

My personal challenge was always going to be difficult. Trying to overcome the fear that lingered from my near-drowning experiences was no mean feat. But making the effort taught me something invaluable: if you persevere, if you find the right advice and listen to the right tips, if you know when to enlist the help of the right kit at the right times, you can overcome anything and learn any discipline.

The right advice for me came in the form of the tips and plan from Speedo swim coach Dan Bullock. While my job often got in the way of me being able to swim as often as needed, Dan was patient and built my progression around my hectic lifestyle. Because of this, I was able to greatly develop my fitness and strength in the water. Because of the Speedo expertise, I’m now able to use the pool as another gym for my body, and plan to do so every week from now on.
